The Trustees

Peter Dunkerley- TrusteePeter Dunkerley

The chairman is Mr Peter Dunkerley, born and educated in the UK. Peter arrived in New Zealand in 1967 as part of a world trip – and overstayed. It was too enjoyable living in a kinder climate and a beautiful country. Forty years later, there is no looking back.  His experience ranges from managing a large pharmacy company to the luckiest Lotto shop in New Zealand.

He is an elected member of the district health board. He has had a long involvement with the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust and the Stortford Lodge Rotary.

Diana Petersen - TrusteeDiana Petersen

Diana Mary Petersen,  MNZM, JP, from Waipukurau, holds many positions in Central Hawke’s Bay. She was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2003, has been a JP since 1985, a marriage celebrant since 1986.

She is a Rotary Paul Harris fellow. Diana was previously a CHB District councillor, a trustee of Sport HB, and president of the Hawke’s Bay JP Association.

He is a mentor with the Young Enterprise Scheme and Food Hawke's Bay and provides honorary financial advice to a number of clubs and societies. He plays squash, and has been treasurer of Hastings Rugby and Sports Club since it was founded. He says The Community Foundation (HB) appeals to him as a positive way to make a contribution to the region.

Warwick HolmesWarwick Holmes Trustee

Warwick has recently retired after spending 48 years as a Barrister and Solicitor in Napier.  He was a partner in the firm Langley, Twigg Law and for the last 20 years of his career was the Coroner for Napier.

With his involvement in the Freemason’s and St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Warwick is active in charitable based work in the region.  He believes Hawke’s Bay is the best place in New Zealand and a community foundation is the best way to support this area.

Administration

We can help you with all aspects of creating a Named Endowment Fund in your family name, the payroll giving scheme and ways you can give to the Hawke’s Bay community.
