Projects or activities that are unique and display a compelling community need will be looked upon favourably for assistance by The Community Foundation (HB).

At times, though, some of the funds available for distribution have specific conditions on the range of projects or activities that can be supported. Accordingly, the questionnaire below will help our team process your application. It is not  a guarantee of assistance. 

There are funders with whom The Community Foundation (HB)  has affiliations who have criteria which differ from ours. For instance, the nationally known Tindall Foundation to whom we make many successful recommendations, is not inclined to support funds which come under the categories of health and education.

Some projects need time to be effective. Others can be funded sooner. Our vision is to provide a vibrant and caring community. This task will become easier as the resources of the Community Foundation (HB) grow.

We recommend that submit your request in good time. We do not consider urgent or retrospective applications.  Applications are normally considered quarterly.

Where appropriate, community organisations will be asked to demonstrate sustainability of future funding.

Only one application will normally be accepted from each organisation in any twelve months.  Closing dates for the remainder of 2008 are: May 23, August 22 and November 21.
